ATM Engineer, England

An ATM Engineer with good knowledge of ATM transmission equipment and technology (Nortel) is required by my client, a leading Mobile Telecoms Network Vendor.

You will:

• Implement ATM scripts from raw data
• Co-operate with RAN Datafill during the cut-over
• Fault-find circuits that do not recover
• Clear up older data on the network using in-house tools

Candidates must show strong ATM knowledge including Nortel Passport (7K, 15K & 20K), good knowledge of ATM management systems and tools (MDM and CLI Manager), and possess an analytical and attention to detail approach.

Position: Performance Management Engineer

We have some urgent openings with our clients for the following skills:

Job Description:

• Daily checking network level KPIs, availability, etc.and taking timly action against any kind of network KPI or SLA related problem
• Measure and report the quality of the monitored network
• To do requirement analysis and use tools to prepare customized network and performance reports, and distribute the reports on network performance to the different competence streams and to the customer as per requirement
• Master all periodic performance management tools (Nokia Siemens Networks and 3rd party)
• Actively co-operate with Network Planning/ optimization in quality issues and support technical experts in network performance issues
• Support pre-post Optimization
• Monitor and report traffic and capacity requirement trends
• Receives and processes requests for Performance data for the customer teams
• Analysis of the monthly trouble ticket database to develop and investigate negative trends occurring in the network
• Analysis of the monthly Customer Fault reporting database to identify network problems that contribute to the Customer faults.

Main Skills:

• Very good knowledge of NSN BSS equipments and networks.
• In depth knowledge of major Nokia Siemens Networks radio network PM statistics, counters and reports
• Good command on Nokia Siemens Networks Netact and its modules Report builder, traffica, SQM. Reporting Suite will be a plus.
• At least 2 years hands on experience in a similar position
• At least 2 years hands on experience in RF optimization
• At least 1 years experience in the operation of telecommunication
• Hands on experience in NetAct
• MSc., BSc. / 3 - 5 years industry experience
• Good Command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and some programming language.
• Required languages : English

Nokia Siemens experience Preferred.

NSN representative on site for the inspection of Civil Mechanical, Electrical and telecom installation works. Visits sites randomly accordingly to Project Quality Plan requirements. Responsible for monitoring and inspecting BSS site CME and Telecom installation work progress and verifying that the implementation is done according to Customer specifications, NSN standards and guidelines and NSN work processes and Quality and Health & Safety Standards. Ensure that all overall project site quality reaches the objectives and KPI\'s set locally and globally.

Supplier/contractor provides: Laptop, Air card, Mobile phone, car, fuel, remote accommodations.

Requirements:

• Related technical background, Technical Diploma preferable.
