Job Scope:

• Liase with end-users to generate innovative project ideas.
• Conduct strategic technology planning.
• Exploit new technologies and formulate engineering concepts.

Job Requirements:

• A good Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, specialising in Communications / Telecommunications from a recognised university.
• Programming skills in C/C++, Windows and Linux would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and standards would be an added advantage, e.g. TCP/IP, ATM, Frame Relay, VoIP, software stacks, networking.
• Possess an inquisitive mind with a keen interest in telecommunications work.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• Able to look beyond conventional boundaries, while considering practical realities.
• Good communication skills required.
• Able to work independently and/or as part of a team.

PS Core Network Engineer

Qualification :

• Ericsson GPRS nodes, GSM/UMTS protocols and CS (Circuit Switch) nodes.
• Basic Telecom knowledge (MSS, BSC/RNC).
• Data communication knowledge (CCNA is an advantage).
• MPBN solutions, UNIX System Administration and UNIX Applications Supply and Support is an advantage.
• University Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences.
• Good command of English, Arabic is a plus.

Requirements:

• Configure, integrate, Start up and test of E/// Packet Switch nodes (SGSN, GGSN, CGSN) and document the solution delivered to the customer. The solution can consist of software, hardware, documentation, processes and organizational changes.
• Perform implementation, integration and acceptance of the new telecommunication equipment.
• Problem solving, system tuning, software upgrades, fault localization & remedy and any other integration activities.
• Support and/or participate in the acceptance procedures and tests, as well as customer’s operational start-up phase.
• Travel to different regions in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia when necessary.

Ericsson Core Network Engineer

Job description

• Perform integration and resolution of faults according to available procedures and defined regulations, leading to a working and integrated core network node of good quality.

• Monitoring 24/7 end-to-end services, networks and core network components, by using generic and customer specific systems, tools and processes, to be notified on deviations from normal network behaviour, aiming at limiting network/service disturbances.

• Investigate faults and system events and where possible restore functionality or escalate to a specialist, according to operational instructions and directives, to achieve service restoration and network performance within contractual agreed performance levels.

• Provide on site support towards other departments within Ericsson, e.g. Ericsson Local Support (ELS).

• Perform predefined recurring Operation & Maintenance routines, according defined periodic maintenance schedule, to prevent unplanned service downtime.
