SGSN/GGSN Integration Engineer, Singapore

I have an opportunity with Ericsson Singapore for SGSN/GGSN Integration. Full job scope is below.

minimum Project Network Rollout experience with:
- R8 SGSN
- R5 GGSN
- SIGTRAN
- Direct Tunnelling

Preferably
- SGSN in pool
- SGSN Mark VI (Mark six)

Plan, prepare scripts and execute on PS nodes:- SGSN,GGSN, MPBN and all its related supporting nodes(GIS,IPworks, etc) of:

• Cold start , hw test, configuration, network integration and commissioning
• expansion of PS boards
• SW upgrade
• Supporting core network IuPS over IP configuration and expansion
• Reparenting of BSC, RNC to different SGSN/GGSN
• PS, SIGTRAN troubleshooting
• Plan, check and prepare very detailed Method of Procedures in detail for customer approval
• CCR preparation, script preparation and verification, peer review
• To update Port allocation documents, Perform Physical cables checking and cables test and commissioning related to PS nodes
• Small group team lead (3 engineers) :- To coordinate daily schedule and status
• Checking and testing of interconnecting cables from PS nodes towards MPBN, ODF, DDF

Human Competence:

• Provide daily status updates to team members, Project Managers and Team Leaders without prompting
• Strictly adhere to ENO project ways of working
• Work independently and also as a team on tasks assigned to meet project deadline
• Check and ensure First Time Right(FTR) in everything we do in customer network
• Share Knowledge willingly and without prompting
• Follow up with proper documentations for handover to ELS in project meeting and also in common project directory
• Able to present MOP to Customer
• Participates actively in internal technical implementation meetings to ensure FTR
• Flexible and able to work under high pressure

You will need to provide and pay for your own flight, accommodation, SIM and transport. Transport in Singapore will cost around SGD150/month.

A 1 bedroom apartment will cost approximately SGD2000 per month.

Management fee: SGD450 per month
Tax: 15%.

Breakdown:
Gross Pay SGD9,800 – 15% = SGD8330
Net Pay SGD8330 – (SGD2000 + SGD450) = SGD5880 (approximately USD4150)

SGSN Engineer, Taiwan

Location : Taiwan
Duration : 6-12 months

Main purpose of the role and key responsibilities :
Support of Core and Applications in Packet Core including following activities:

• Commissioning, integrating, and troubleshooting;
• Technical support into customer networks;
• Responsible for overall performance of Core and Applications elements;
• Supporting customer for end-to-end support;
• Provide proactive maintenance service support and delivery;
• Support change management service delivery;
• Organize and participate in pilot and roll-out upgrades and patch installations,
• Provide technical answers,
• Share technical information and provide competence transfer;
• Consult with customers regarding optimization, planning, feature activations, and other improvements

Skills Required :

• Excellent competence in NSN Combi-SGSN SG6
• Proven 3+ experience and knowledge of mobile packet core networks and functionality of SGSN.
• Highly experienced on GPRS/EDGE and 3G networks, interfaces and protocols.
• Good troubleshooting skills especially with SGSN.
• Experience in GGSN/Flexi-ISN/CG/FW is a plus
• Has been working in the role of technical support, customer service, SW roll-out/upgrade projects
• Has fundamental IP and Unix knowledge; knows basic IP configuration and troubleshooting
