Core Project Manager, Norway

Location : Oslo, Norway
Duration : Permanent position

Managing one or several large projects under an open supervision. Take the responsibility to organize necessary resources and to manage all phases of engineering and service activities such as bidding, planning, designing, subcontracting, installation, commissioning, maintenance, technical support, and local materials purchasing. The position involves e g purchase order managing, subcontractors searching and authentication, performance management, cost control, quality assurance and project risk analysis.

Qualifications
  • University degree in telecommunications or electrical/electronic engineering or business school.
  • Good knowledge of at least one of the following products and solutions: Core network including e g GGSN, SGSN, MGW and SAE; Broadband network and IPTN network including NGN, ATM/IP DSLAM and DATA; Intelligent network including SCP, SMP, SDP and SSP.
  • Core network delivery project experience as soft skill will be added advantage.
  • Strong communicator with proven customer handling skills;
  • At least five years project management experiences within the area of mobile/Fixed networks implementation and/or SWAP of mobile/Fixed networks.
  • Fluent in Norwegian/Swedish and English language is a must.
Priority will be given to candidates with deep knowledge of core network implementation and extensive knowledge of the Nordic telecom market. Soft skills looked for are that you are achievement driven, forward-thinking, good at information sharing, an effective communicator, have good people networking skills and are open for new ways of thinking.

LTE RF Planning Optimization Engineer, Norway

Type of Job :Contract position.
Location : Scandinavia
Currently our client is looking for LTE RF Planning Optimization Engineer in Scandinavia, so you must be eligible to live and work in the EU (most in Norway).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Realization of network planning and optimization projects for commercial GSM/WCDMA/LTE networks.
  • Improvement of radio network performance by appropriate approach.
  • Network performance statistic data analysis, drive test data analysis, signal tracing data analysis and troubleshooting to improve network performance.
  • RF parameters analysis, changing prnoposal and implementation operation to improve the radio network performance.
  • Technical communication and clarification (e.g. RF parameter workshop) with customers and subcontractors.
  • Technical support to pre-sales project on RNP&O issues and communication with customers.

Qualifications:
  1. Experience in RF planning and optimization.
  2. Experience in GSM/WCDMA/LTE technology and ability to optimize networks to improve the performance by the experience of RF algorithm & parameters.
  3. Knowledge of Nortel BSS, Nokia UTRAN and Huawei BSS products is desirable.
  4. Familiarity with drive tests and post processing tools for optimization (e.g. TEMS, NEMO, ACTIX and Rhode & Schwarz).
  5. Team spirit and good intercultural/interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Fluent in English .

2G/3G NOC Engineer TETRA, Norway


Ref     : NO/NOC/202 (Greythorn)
Location: Norway - Nordics
Rate : N/A (contract/temp.)
NOC Engineer with strong NOC, 2G / 3G, TETRA and Control Room experience required for a contract in Scandinavia. My Norway based client is seeking to expand its Control Room team and add one additional NOC Engineer.

Responsibilities will include:
- Interfacing towards sub-contractor for operational issues
- Assisting delivery project in system integration and site acceptance
- Reviewing change requests involving control rooms and interfaces

You must have extensive NOC experience and speak fluent Norwegian or Swedish to be considered for this position. The client is offering a 9 month contract for the right engineer.

Core Network Engineer, Norway



Description:

  • Equipment lab testing support, including test environment setup, test equipment management and maintenance.
  • Customer communication and workshops.
  • Bidding support on product technical service related part.
  • Follow up issues that may arise during testing/workshop/bidding activities
  • Supervising project engineering process, including hardware and software supervision, acceptance test.
  • On-site support for site survey, installation or commissioning when necessary.
  • Interface with engineering partner to locate technical problems that may arise during the engineering process.
  • Responsible for SLM and TLM technical support service to customer or partner independently or jointly with a technical support team.
  • On site support in case of major or critical problems that can't be solved by customer or local subcontractor according to SLA.
  • Responsible for handling technical cases on ticket system and keep tracking these problems during the whole resolving process.
  • Traveling may be required.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
  • Technical knowledge of: Routing, Switching, Voice over IP, NGN, and Telecommunication Protocols/Standards (SS7, SIP, H323, MGCP, etc) knowledge
  • Good computer skills in MS office
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, communication & team work skills
  • Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
