Transmission Support Engineer, England


A fantastic opportunity for the position of Transmission Support Engineer, working for a global Telecommunications company in the UK to be based in Berkshire.

The Transmission Support Engineer MUST have:
  • Technical working background with Ericsson Mini-Link TN and Siae Al series MW and NMS SoM, Nortel Passport/MDM/MDP and NMS5UX in an Operational or Development Organization
  • Broad technical appreciation of Nortel and Alcatel Transmission, ATM and Ethernet technologies and their applications in a mobile operator environment
  • Appreciation of the importance of change management in an Operational Environment
The responsibilities of the role would involve:
  • Responsible for ensuring the integration and acceptance to Operations is carried out in a controlled manner and has the correct processes in place to ensure operations targets and KPIs are maintained.
  • Responsible for inter-working with Access Transmission Team Leaders and Project teams within Ericsson to determine the responsible delivery of new projects (I.e network enhancements, expansions or reductions).
  • Contribute ideas for improvement and optimisation in all areas of Ethernet delivery
  • In conjunction with the Back Office Team Leaders ensure the project has the required technical tools and documentation to complete required tasks (SW, NMS access, CLI Scripts, processes, TTO access and training)
  • Have appropriate skills to support the MW Ethernet network for fault resolution and provisioning
This is an exciting role working on a major Ethernet upgrade project for a global Telecommunications company. There is both excellent longevity and career prospects in this position, and you must be able to start by the end of the year.

You must have worked within a mobile environment and have an excellent background with transmission support in a Back Office capacity, have worked with Ethernet before and have strong microwave skills.

Carrier Solution Manager, Spain

Combining comprehensive technical savvy and deep understanding of European telecom market trends & operators’ needs, the Network Solution Manager will responsible for developing E2E technical solution, presenting the solutions to CXO level customer in Tier 1 operators, providing technical consulting service to operators and also assisting in identifying and developing new sales opportunities, throughout the whole Europe.

As part of the Account Department/Customer Solution Development Department you will provide technical consulting service to customer in pre-sales phase and help to develop new opportunities for company’s products aswell as develop sales opportunities through consultative selling approach, and also may need to take key role in sales team as technical sales person to close the contract.

Requirements for the position include :
  • At least 8 years experience in area of technical sales, product/solution management, technical consulting or architecture design in leading telecom vendor or operators.
  • Previous experience in architecture design and network planning in Tier 1 European operators or E2E solution sales in top equipment vendors is highly desirable.
  • Profound knowledge of telecom technologies, good understanding of network solution from end-to-end point of view.
  • At least proficient in over two of following areas: mobile access network, transport/aggregation network, core network, service platform and BSS/OSS.
  • Experience in following topics is highly preferable: Flat architecture of Mobile Broadband Networks, Signaling congestion issues in mobile network and E2E QoE/QoS.

NOC Shift Engineer, Czech Republic

My client is accepted to be Europe's fastest growing telecoms provider, They own and operate Europe's most advanced and densely connected voice and data network. It delivers intelligent, customer-controlled network services to a diverse range of businesses including mobile operators, service providers and enterprise customers. They are currently looking for a NOC Shift Engineer.

The purpose of this role is to conduct network surveillance, and carry out incident management for both customer and network, accurately recording all events through the Trouble Ticket system. Ownership of these incidents is priority, and to work with the various operational teams to ensure the delivery of a permanent resolution.

You will be required to work in the Network Operations Centre on a 24x7 shift Rotation basis with responsible:
  • Carry out first level fault diagnostics across the Transmission & Dark Fibre network.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and analysis of circuit performance.
  • Perform escalation for Network & Customer tickets, both technical and managerial.
  • Carry out vendor and supplier contact and escalation for fault resolution.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be a good team player.
  • You will be able to work under pressure and on own initiative.
Experience and knowledge required:
  • Experienced user of Alcatel RM/SH
  • Experience with Infinera or Ciena advantageous but not essential
  • In depth knowledge of SDH and Optical transmission technologies required.
  • Knowledge of DWDM technologies preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in a large established Operations environment for a Telco or large ISP essential.
  • General technical understanding of Core Network technologies including Fibre Optic and Inside Plant architecture.

Our client is looking for individuals with the ability to create and manage implementation of RNC interconnect, both Nokia RAN and Nokia Core elements. NSN - Data Management Engineer

Required within a busy Data Management Team for a UK Network Operator. Reporting to the Team Leader, an Engineer with experience of Data Management and data fill within a 2G or 3G Environment. RAN Engineer


A fantastic opportunity is now available as a RAN Engineer working for a mobile network provider, based in Hertfordshire. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the availability and performance of the Radio Access Network comprised of 2G, 2.5G and 3G equipment (BTS, Node-B, BSC, RNC, and Power).

Your responsibilities will include:
