A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect - Circuit Switch to work with a leading telecommunications company. This is a permanent position and will be ideal for someone within the telecoms sector.

The Solution Architect - Circuit Switch will be responsible for architecture, high level and detail designs, solution designs, platform designs of 3rd generation Mobile circuit switched networks (MSS/HLR/SSRI/ MGW).

Our client is looking is looking for Solution Architects with the following:

• Good working knowledge of 3rd generation Mobile networks (Nokia)
• Good working knowledge of some of the following: GSM/UMTS, MTP, SCCP, UK ISUP, Core Camel and INAP,M3UA, Sigtran, BICC
• Proven working knowledge and understanding in design and delivery of circuit switched functionality (Features and services)
• Proven working knowledge and understanding in designing and delivering UMTS networks
• Background in Nokia equipment- hardware and software: MSS,HSS,SRRI and MGW
• Use of Camel and INAP
• Knowledge of Nokia MML

Solution Architect - GPRS Engineer, England

My client is a world-leading provider of telecommunications and mobile technology and services. They are currently engaged on one Europe's largest mobile network projects and require an experienced High Level Principal Solution Architect to provide technical and thought leadership in the Packet Switched technology domain. This position will be focused on the delivery of network planning, design and assurance services as well as acting as subject matter expert supporting Business Solutions in the definition of customer solutions.

To be successful you will have :

• A strong background in GPRS operational expertise
• In depth knowledge of GGSN / APN / IP including all level of fault analysis
• In depth knowledge of the process for delivering network design solutions for physical, logical and management network.
• In depth analytical and reporting skills.
• Be fully conversant with 3GPP specification 23.060
• Excellent TCP/IP networking understanding
• Must be proficient in UNIX. Any text processing tools e.g. Awk or Perl would be an advantage.
• Capable of troubleshooting GPRS problems End-to-End
• Proficient in the use of network protocol analysers such as Tektronix K15 and Wireshark
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel; ideally be able to write Macros and be familiar with Pivot Tables
• Basic PowerPoint reporting skills
• Broad knowledge of wireless network architecture
• Broad knowledge of IP, Ethernet,
• An excellent command of written and spoken English.
