RAN Performance Engineer, England


An outstanding opportunity is available within a prominent telecommunications company, looking to recruit a RAN Performance Engineer with a particular emphasis on Nokia and Ericsson equipment.

The role will be responsible for ensuring network performance is always at a maximum, in accordance with the SLA's and KPI's. Aspects of the role are set to include:
  • Ensuring all performance faults and degradations are captured in the trouble ticketing systems, as well as providing regular and accurate updates.
  • Ensuring all performance faults are managed through to resolution or escalating where required.
  • Interfacing and providing assistance to other areas within the RAN Teams.
Additional requirements for this position will include:
  • A strong working knowledge of 2G/3G Radio Access Network.
  • Working knowledge of Nokia NetAct
  • A knowledge of Nokia and Ericsson Radio Access Network is Essential.

RAN Engineer (Front Office), England



Front Office RAN Engineer is required to monitor the availability and performance of the Radio Access Network comprised of 2G, 2.5G and 3G equipment (BTS, Node-B, BSC, RNC) and all associated transmission infrastructure (radio and leased line).

Key Responsibilities
  • To perform 1st line diagnostics / remote restoration / raising of a trouble tickets.
  • Monitoring the 2G RAN Network.
  • Maintain the availability and performance of the RAN in line with KPIs.
  • Provide fault co-op and expert advice to resolving agents.

RAN Configuration Engineer required to work for a large telecommunications based in Hertfordshire, England. Candidates must have Nokia RAN Configuration, 3G Knowledge and ORACLE/SQL

Responsibilities:
  • Create and load H3G RNC XML print-back files into Oracle database, (ABCS).
  • Follow the SAP process of creating new and modify the existing configurations of Nokia RNC, WBTS, WCELL with MBNL new names and IDs in ABCS and create XML files and Commissioning files
  • Forward the XML and Commissioning files to the RAN Configuration Engineers to be loaded into NetAct
  • Once the XML and Commissioning Files have been loaded successfully, use ABCS to audit the new or re-configured WBTS, WCELL and Transmission to confirm the implementation is correct.
  • Check alarms and operational CS/PS call handling statistics to ensure the element is working correctly.
  • Maintain data integrity and storage utilisation by performing regular house-keeping tasks in ABCS using SQL and/or MS ACCESS.
Working with RNC design in MBNL and Core configuration teams if necessary to resolve any ambiguity, error or duplications of configuration data.

RAN Support Engineer, England

A fantastic opportunity is now available as a RAN Support Engineer working for a mobile network provider, based in Berkshire. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the availability and performance of the Radio Access Network comprised of 2G, 2.5G and 3G equipment (BTS, Node-B, BSC, RNC, and Power).

Your responsibilities will include:
  • To perform 1st line diagnostics resulting in remote restoration or in the raising of a trouble ticket to the appropriate resolving agency.

Nokia RAN Engineer (Front Office), England


A leading global provider of mobile, telecommunication and data communication systems are now looking for experienced Front Office RAN Engineers to play a key part in a major European project over the next 24 months.

You will form part of the RAN ARC Team ensuring my clients customers networks receive best service across the UK and Republic of Ireland. As part of this team you will be involved in ensuring network availability is always at a maximum and that all service interruptions are kept to a minimum in accordance with the SLA's and KPI's.

You will ideally have:
  • Knowledge of 2G/3G Radio Access Networks, some 1st Line 2G/3G experience
  • Experienced with fault finding process and management platforms
  • Experience with Nokia 3G RAN equipment
  • A working knowledge of 2G/3G Core networks, services and applications and Unix scripting would be desirable but not essential.

RAN Engineer (1st Line Support), England


RAN ENGINEERS (1st LINE SUPPORT) required to work for a large telecommunication company based in Berkshire.

Responsibilities:
  • 1st Point of contact for all RAN related availability problems.
  • Monitor network availability, ensuring all SLA's and KPI's are met.

Our client is urgently seeking 2 RAN Reporting Engineers to join their large establishment in Hatfield, on a contract basis.

Specific duties include:

  • Creating, maintaining and evolving the automate RAN performance and measurement data collection and analysis process and independent data sources.
  • Evolving and maintaining the automated configuration systems and processes on the RAN elements.
  • Developing and implementing automated solutions based on the information extract from data processing.
  • Applying analytical methods to detect and fix faults that impact RAN performance.

We are looking for a NOC based RAN Engineer to provide 1st line support for one of the leading service providers in 3G networks. This is a shift based role, including nights and days.

You will have a background in 2G/3G RAN Networks, with experience of fault-finding and offering 1st line support within a NOC environment or lengthy field experience with some experience dealing with issues within the NOC (Network Operations Centre).

RAN & Core Datafill Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a RAN & Core Datafill Engineer, to work with a leading telecommunications company.


Our client is looking for individuals with the ability to create and manage implementation of RNC interconnect, both Nokia RAN and Nokia Core elements. The role will be responsible for the production of RAN / Core databuild / scripts from design datasheets in order to implement new IUR, IuCS and IuPS links on the RNCs and IuCS related data on Nokia core elements MSC and MGW.

Additional responsibilities include planning / creation and implementation of network interconnect data (IuCs, IuPS and IUR) to agreed standard on Nokia RNCs.

Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of the Nokia/NSN Network - including Nokia RNC's and Nokia RAN.

Knowledge of mobile networks and practical knowledge of UMTS radio access networks is essential.

Relevant industry telecoms experience is very advantageous for this role.
