Ericsson GPRS/3G Engineer, Saudi Arabia

We are unfortunately only looking for candidates with the 3-4 years experience with Ericsson Technology, highly spirited individuals who are ready to take up a rewarding challenges in the telecom industry.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Work Areas:

• Responsible for all technical matters related to GPRS system, i-e handling of CGSN node
• Responsible for the modification of existing system routines, creation of new and temporary routines and follow up.
• Responsible for all software contents of the system and the GPRS Services.
• Send/receive/follow up with trouble reports sent to the supplier/customer.
• Handle and follow up all escalated problems.
• Distribute all new and upgraded documentation in accordance to SW, HW and equipment.
• Offer expert knowledge concerning system problems in the GPRS node (CGSN), as well as all its connected G-interfaces.
• Offer expert knowledge concerning parameters and configuration.
• Implement software and parameter changes in the CGSN.
• Give priority to the trouble reports. This includes the incoming TR from the other system engineers.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Basic technical education and experience from Ericsson GSM system, as System Engineer Level 2 not less than 3 - 4 years. Good knowledge in English and good analytical ability is also required.

In addition, he must have the following competencies:

1. GSM system overview
2. MSC/VLR operation
3. BSC operation
4. GPRS system survey
5. GPRS Basic Operations
6. GSN Configuration
7. GSN CS Operations
8. GSN PS Operations

GENERAL COMPETENCE

• Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic a plus
• Be able to work in a team
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
• Able to work as a team-member and lead engineer staff from time to time.
• Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
• A thorough and methodical approach to work.
• Must be able to work to tight time scales.
• High degree of analytical and investigative abilities.
• Focused on network (service) performance.
