My client is one of the biggest players within the Mobile and Telecoms Industry. As part of a UK wide network convergence project they are keen to employ an experienced Transmission Solutions Architect to become a key part of their Reading or Hatfield operations. This is a contract position that requires excellent knowledge of RAN and Nokia and is likely last the duration of the project estimated to run a further 24 months.

You will ideally possess the following:
  • Excellent knowledge of Nokia RAN transmission and Iub configuration and practical experience in the design and configuration of Nokia Iub Essential
  • Excellent skills in XML coding, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access Desirable
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in the planning of Access and Backbone transmission technology deployed in the 3G networks Desirable
  • Knowledge of T-Mobile planning tools (eg Apollo, Nemesis, Spectrum Desirable)
  • Experience in planning microwave radio links in mobile network rollout environment Desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of SDH, ATM, PWE & Ethernet transport Desirable
  • Knowledge of Minilink TN, SIAE, Ceragon, Nokia microwave radio Desirable
  • Experience with GIS tools such as Mapinfo and MS Access databases Desirable
The man responsibilities of this position are as follows:
  1. Interact with Radio design / customer / parent company designers to ensure the impact of RAN developments on Iub configurations are captured and understood.
  2. Assess impact of Iub design changes on Iub Configuration tools and processes and define development required to support such design changes
  3. Host workshops as necessary to scope requirements for development
  4. Production and update of Iub configuration templates for Nokia RAN, covering all aspects of configuration of RNC CoCo, Node B AXC and transmission module.
  5. Development of Nokia site XML files and RNC CoCo: build, export, analyse xml from live sites/RNC, adapting code to reflect new Iub design for all site types and site capacities.
  6. Testing of Iub configuration files prior to release and widespread use
  7. Support release of new Iub XML templates into Apollo tool
  8. Produce documentation for manual configuration of Iub CoCo / AXC / Transmission Module using NetAct
  9. Provide planning support, training & workshops to regional planning engineers and field staff on all aspects of Iub configuration, acting as design authority
  10. Verification of Iub design integrity in the consolidated network using network management tools as required and implementing corrective action as required
  11. Provision on monthly reports on accuracy of Iub configurations in the network
  12. Design and definition of ATM connectivity supporting the Iub including all aspects of the ATM configuration design through the ATM switching network.
  13. Support to Operational ATM configuration teams on queries with end-end ATM configuration.
  14. Plan, design and deliver transmission solutions to provide capacity and functionality for key customer networks, providing technical design input into the project delivery.

Plan, prepare scripts and execute on PS nodes:- SGSN,GGSN, MPBN and all its related supporting nodes(GIS,IPworks, etc) of:

  • expansion of PS boards
  • SW upgrade
  • Supporting core network IuPS over IP configuration and expansion
  • Reparenting of BSC, RNC to different SGSN/GGSN

  • Plan, check and prepare very detailed Method of Procedures in detail for customer approval

  • To update Port allocation documents, Perform Physical cables checking and cables test and commissioning related to PS nodes

  • Checking and testing of interconnecting cables from PS nodes towards MPBN, ODF, DDF
Human Competence:
  • Provide daily status updates to team members, Project Managers and Team Leaders without prompting
  • Strictly adhere to ENO project ways of working
  • Work independently and also as a team on tasks assigned to meet project deadline
  • Check and ensure First Time Right(FTR) in everything we do in customer network
  • Share Knowledge willingly and without prompting
  • Follow up with proper documentations for handover to ELS in project meeting and also in common project directory
  • Able to present MOP to Customer
  • Participates actively in internal technical implementation meetings to ensure FTR
  • Flexible and able to work under high pressure
You will need to provide and pay for your own flight, accommodation, SIM and transport. Transport in Singapore will cost around SGD150/month.

Project Tasks:

My client is looking for an experienced Ericsson RNC Engineer (Configuration Scripts) who is able to work independently with planning and production of Product Configuration data for GSM, WCDMA network nodes included in a network.

The following activities are included in the RNC Engineer (Configuration Scripts)’s duties:
  • Based on the purchase order for the product Configuration service, the RNC Engineer (Configuration Scripts) collects the exchange requirement needed in accordance with Ericsson procedures with respect to the customer’s directives. The collection shall be based on the feature list (sold features) and the block diagram (sold hardware).
  • Collect, analyse and verify the exchange requirement needed to configure the node.
  • Produce the configuration data files according to Ericsson methods.

Required Experience
  • Good GSM, 3G WCDMA knowledge

The purpose of this role is to conduct network surveillance, and carry out incident management for both customer and network, accurately recording all events through the Trouble Ticket system. You will be required to work in the Network Operations Centre on a 24x7 shift Rotation basis. Carry out first level fault diagnostics across the Transmission & Dark Fibre network. Conduct preventative maintenance and analysis of circuit performance. Perform escalation for Network & Customer tickets, both technical and managerial. Carry out vendor and supplier contact and escalation for fault resolution.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be a good team player. You will be able to work under pressure and on own initiative.

  • Experienced user of Alcatel RM/SH
  • Experience with Infinera or Ciena advantageous but not essential

Our client a major Telecom's company in Dublin Ireland is recruiting a Senior Network Engineer Team Leader

The Role
To contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of our clients network infrastructure. The roll encompasses all areas of network design ranging from the high level design to the low level design and physical implementation of the solutions.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of highly skilled engineers, Research, develop and implement new features and services for our clients DSL network. Develop scalable network designs and solutions to support our customer's needs. Support and lead the implementation of our clients network infrastructure. Generate project documentation describing the network design and implementation. Participate in rotating "on call" schedules with other members of the team providing third-tier support. Help other groups on the engineering organization to develop their skills. Consult with customers to assist Network Operations trouble shoot complex installations.

Skills:
Team Leader 3yrs+, Design + implementation of ADSL2+, Design optical networks (CWDM, DWDM). Troubleshooting complex network problems (Lab/Production environments). Experience in Cisco/Juniper Networking equipment. Coding in Common scripting languages (Shell Scripting + Perl). Network Certified (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP). Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field essential.

Currently we have an opening for Packet Core Hardware Maintenance MS Supervisors for one of our giant telecommunication client in Canada wherein we are only looking for Canadian Citizens.

Following is the job description:
Supervise and provide knowledge transfer to customer’s core HW maintenance staff pertaining Huawei core network element hardware physical connectivity, hardware replacement, testing and maintenance (can be either one or all of the following elements: GGSN, SGSN, CG), responsible for the supervision of customer’s packet core maintenance staff for routine maintenance of packet core network elements, work order implementation and testing in coordination with Level 2 support, supervising on the adherence and implementation of all related work orders as per processes and procedures established in regards to work order, change management and fault clearing via trouble ticket, responsible for work report preparation, reporting to MS project manager and customer’s operation manager.

Candidate need to have very good experience on Huawei equipments.
