Value Added Services Consultant, MENA Region
A Telco client in Arabic speaking Africa has asked for a Value Added Services Consultant for a 12 month November start contract paying US$12,000 per month plus flights, accommodation and local transport
Brief job spec is below :
Project Tasks:
- Coordination with the marketing and products department for new services launch
- Coordination with customer care and network/service quality for any service performance issues
- Responsible for all products & service platforms in the technical department
- Ensures that the offered network services are planned in accordance with all capacity, quality and time to market needs.
- Management as well as technical/operational daily support regarding VAS infrastructure for the offered services (SMS, MMS, PS Services and CS Services, Portal, Announcements, etc).
- Service optimization and service maintenance
- Analyzing and monitoring vendor deliveries (planning, acceptance, O&M, etc) for all related VAS elements.
- Ensure maximum performance and quality of VAS systems.
- Develops a technical service roadmap according to marketing needs and integration steps for the network based on vendor capabilities.
- Monitor the vendors' roadmaps with respect to new products and innovations
- At least 5 years of experience in management as well as operational positions in the area of Value Added Service (VAS) within a mobile network operator
- Proven technical experience in the VAS area and deep technical knowledge with regard to related VAS platforms (SMSC, MMSC, etc), preferably within a mobil enetwork operator
- Experience in managing teams with at least 5 employees
- English language skills mandatory. Arabic is very welcome
- Experience in the MENA region is most welcome
