Telecommunications Engineer
Job Scope:
- Convert research ideas into operational reality.
- Deliver robust, high performance solutions for telecommunication systems.
- Design, scope and develop software projects.
- Liase with end-users to generate innovative project ideas.
- Conduct strategic technology planning.
- Exploit new technologies and formulate engineering concepts.
- Manage in-house and out-sourced projects.
- Ensure software quality by conducting software evaluation and ensuring that our products conform to standards.
- Conduct operation and maintenance training for end-users.
Job Requirements:
- A good Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, specialising in Communications / Telecommunications from a recognised university.
- Programming skills in C/C++, Windows and Linux would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and standards would be an added advantage, e.g. TCP/IP, ATM, Frame Relay, VoIP, software stacks, networking.
- Possess an inquisitive mind with a keen interest in telecommunications work.
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
- Able to look beyond conventional boundaries, while considering practical realities.
- Good communication skills required.
- Able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
