Nortel GGSN Engineer

Our client is a Market Leading Telecoms Company and they are recruiting for a GGSN Engineer.

Requirements :

  • Candidate must have worked in a Telecoms environment and have working knowledge of Nortel GGSN, SGSN, SS7, ATM and have worked on the core network.
  • A customer oriented engineer required to build a robust customer relationship and enhance satisfaction by utilising superior product knowledge and network level competence.
  • 1st / 2nd line support on Nortel products.
  • The objectives are early problem identification and fault prevention.
  • Be single point of contact for Customer Service Requests.
  • Lead customer meetings.
  • Specialist fault investigation, identify preventative maintenance actions.
  • Provide emergency support when required.
  • Maintain good knowledge of the customer's operational environment and the specifics of the customer network configuration and deployment
  • Identify service beyond contract i.e. identifying new business opportunities and address those through established channels.
