ATM Capacity Planning Engineer
My client a leading Telecommunications company URGENTLY seeks an ATM Capacity Planning Engineer to be responsible for the capacity planning, modelling and optimisation of the ATM network on site in Berkshire.
The successful ATM Capacity Planning Engineer will require the following:
- Knowledge of either working operationally or in a design function on a Nortel based ATM network
- Detailed knowledge of ATM networks including service classes to understand capacity modelling and planning
- A good working knowledge of the Nortel Net Calc Data Planner is desirable
As the successful ATM Capacity Planning Engineer your duties will include:
- Running Nortel Net Calc data planner tool
- Maintaining the Nortel Net Calc data planner database and ensure the planner is updated with live network information
- Provide capacity modelling and analysis of new ATM connections at the request of design engineers
- Monitor the ATM network and recommend capacity upgrades and identify network hotspots
- Feed into business case and project upgrade ATM capacity
- Define/input into capacity planning processes
- Provide analysis of failure scenario's both fault
