RAN Engineer (1st Line Support), England


RAN ENGINEERS (1st LINE SUPPORT) required to work for a large telecommunication company based in Berkshire.

Responsibilities:
  • 1st Point of contact for all RAN related availability problems.
  • Monitor network availability, ensuring all SLA's and KPI's are met.
  • Take ownership of network faults and planned/unplanned service interruptions, managing them through to resolution or escalating where required.
  • Ensure all faults and service interruptions are captured in the trouble ticketing systems, providing regular and accurate updates.
  • Follow all processes and procedures, identifying and informing the RAN ARC Shift Leader of any improvements required.
  • Interface/provide support to FOSD, FOps, all Vendors, all Suppliers and other keys areas of Operations/Business with regards to RAN related issues.
  • Raise Root Cause Analysis (RCA) trouble tickets for all resolved faults where the root cause is not clear or unknown.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of 3G Radio Access Network and have 1st line 2G/3G experience.
Must have knowledge of fault finding and management platforms, and ideally have Nokia Kit.
