CS Planning and Design Lead, England

A Lead Planning and Design Consultant with an extensive knowledge of mobile circuit-switched technologies (specifically MSS) is required by my client, a leading Mobile Telecoms Network Vendor.

You will have responsibility for managing a network planning design team delivering capacity management, forecasting and migration services, as well as high-level and low-level network design services for 2G/3G mobile networks.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assume the role of single point of contact with responsibility for all circuit-switched planning/design activities and deliverables towards each customer
• Also lead and co-ordinate the delivery of packet-switched network design and performance orientated services to customers
• Manage the technical deliverables of up to 50 network planning, design and assurance engineers.
• Monitor, control and report on financial milestones and implement corrective measures where necessary

Candidates must show:

• An extensive background in heading the planning and design teams for a mobile operator
• In depth understanding of 2G/3G networks; CS Core Network planning, network topology, traffic modelling etc
• Possess the necessary skills to lead a MSS migration planning and design teams of a key customer
• Strong interpersonal and customer skills
