Job description
The Wireline Support Engineer should be a team player and deliver the contracted customer support services according to established processes like CSR Handling, emergency, network update/upgrade and Network Configuration Management.

Main activities
  • Working with customer service requests (CSRs) assigned or received directly from customer in written form and/or as telephone consultations.
  • Providing professional answers to CSRs.
  • Tracking of CSRs for designated customer(s) (monitoring the CSR while an answer/solution is created, following up with the customer and/or 2nd line support, lead-time awareness)
  • If the CSR cannot be answered/solved within the time limit/or due to complexity, escalation to 2nd line support (GSDC, etc.)
  • Reviewing the solution received.
  • Emergency duty (24-hour support), candidate should expect to work under pressure.
  • PLEX / ASA deep knowledge which allow him to analyze RESTARTS/FLERROR/APPLERROR and solve them.
  • Preparation for and implementation of proactive maintenance procedures and general software modification (upgrade/update, correction mapping, market corrections, emergency solutions)
  • Performing all activities necessary to ensure In-Service Performance objectives for the assigned customer are achieved.
  • Conduct technical presentations whenever is required (demo of new products/features)
  • Site visits should be considered whenever is required
  • Share/Transfer knowledge with colleagues
  • Expect to work after normal working hours and during weekends.


Competence:
  • University degree in telecommunications, computer science or electrical engineering and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5 year of experience in telecommunications. Knowledge of wireline systems
  • Signaling systems in wireline networks
  • Applicable computer background (Windows, UNIX, LINUX, MS Office) Competence
  • Ability to share own knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work both independently and as member of a team
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges;
  • Result oriented
  • Excellent English.
  • CCNA is an advantage.
