Customer Support Engineer OBS/ OSS, Toronto - Canada


EmergiTel is looking for its client, a leading telecom vendor in Canada, professionals qualified for following job description.

Description:

Acting as Lead engineer for major Advantage Commander project deployment for new customers and software releases. Participating in customer and internal project meetings representing the OBS Implementation Team. Interfacing with customer to define and gather pre-requisite information for delivery of new Advantage Commander system. Creating, delivering, and accepting MOPS and installation procedures. Commissioning and system acceptance of new Advantage Commander systems. Installing, testing and deploying and upgrading Advantage Commander software releases to customer systems. Creating, updating and delivering site folder to customer. Supervising hardware vendors during hardware installation and configuration.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years work experience in telecoms industry(preferably with European GSM D1900 and/ or US GSM D1900 technology). Candidate should have good understanding and experience with Sun Solaris Operating system/ Sun Cluster and Microsoft windows Server( Administrator Level). Candidate should have experience with TCP/IP, DNS, Citrix Metaframe and Active Directory. Candidate should have working experience with Advantage Commander installation and maintenance. Should have a good understanding of Operation and Maintenance Center concepts and be conversant with Performance Measurements and the analysis thereof.
