Cell Planning & Optimization Engineer

Outstanding opportunity available within a leading telecommunications looking to recruit a Cell Planning & Optimization Engineer.

The role will be responsible for monitoring the daily performance statistics for your area and taking appropriate actions to sustain and improve the Network performance.

Additional responsibilities for this role will include:

• Daily contact with Project Managers, Acquisition Agents, Transmission and Technical project Teams to ensure sites are delivered on time.
• Working closely with RAN Performance, Transmission, Field Techs and the NOC teams to resolve cell performance issues.
• Designing 2G & 3G network within the UK, based on requirements.

Additional requirements for this role will include:

• Strong background in 2G Cell Planning and Optimisation.
• A thorough knowledge of Ericsson or Nortel GSM and Nokia UMTS is essential.
• Outstanding PC and UNIX skills
• 3G Planning skills.
• Good database (MS ACCESS) skills.
