RNC Planning Engineer

My client is a leading Telecommunications company, URGENTLY requires an RNC Planning Engineer to be based soon site in Berkshire.

The successful RNC Planning Engineer will require the following:

• Excellent working knowledge of Radio/core network capacity planning experience.
• Good working knowledge of tools, systems and processes used to measure performance and plan network capacity.
• Strong statistical analysis skills to include trend and forecast establishment.
• Understanding of network performance monitoring experience.
• Capacity threshold dimensioning and KPI expertise.
• VBA, HTML, SQL skills beneficial to assist in report automation.

As the successful RNC Planning Engineer your duties will include:

• Derive and document capacity planning thresholds.
• Monitor RNCs dimensioning limits against threshold settings.
• Develop processes to support and facilitate network growth.
• Proactively monitor and act on capacity threshold statistics.
• Plan capacity to support network traffic growth.
• Measure RNC performance against derived KPIs.
• Troubleshoot RNCs to ensure optimum performance.
• Provide statistical analysis of current data to establish trends and forecasts.
• Act as interface to Radio Design team on all aspects of RNC capacity forecasting, performance and HW/SW/parameter configurations.
