Access Transmission Engineer

Fantastic opportunity available within a leading network service provider looking to recruit a Transmission Engineer. The role will be responsible for the development of Access Network Transmission Strategy to facilitate Network Opex Reduction.

Additional responsibilities for this role will include:

• Developing strategy for upgrade of Node B sites to POPs for SDH MW collection.
• Planning activities for extension of fibre routes directly to Transmission High Sites
• Planning activities for SDH microwave backhaul onto the dark fibre network
• Selection & evaluation of existing sites in close proximity to fibre routes for upgrade to POPs
• On site supervision of suppliers activities for transmission

Additional requirements for this role will include:

• Strong working knowledge of 3G & microwave transmission network planning.
• Solid experience within a mobile telco enviroment.
• Sound understanding of fibre network planning & design
