Network Integration Engineer
A leading telecoms company is currently recruiting for a Network Integration Engineer to be based in the Berkshire area. This is a 6 month contract. Rates will be discussed upon application.
Responsibilities :
- Provide 3rd line technical support for Integration of the Nokia Core Circuit switched elements
- Support of delivery & Integration of Nokia core network and upgrades to hardware and software.
- Liaise closely with the Core Networks Dept and vendors (NEC, Nokia, Siemens etc) to gain experience of core network
- Ensure network availability and integrity
- Implement and perform network monitoring, reporting, analysis, auditing and data fill.
- Implementation of network expansion requirements - Media Gateway interface expansion.
- Support of cabling requirements to integrate the new elements
- Support of activities required for the RNC re-host requirements to the new Media Gateway.
Operational Experience
- Integration, configuration or commissioning background
- 3rd line operational support experience with Nokia circuit switches and HLR, MSC, DX 200 and/or Media Gateway (MGW)
- Exposure to mission critical environments
- Experience of supporting a voice/data network
- Excellent knowledge of circuit switched networks - essential.
