Planning & Design Functional Lead – Mobile Circuit Core

My client, a leading telecoms organisation, is seeking a Planning & Design Functional Lead, who will provide technical and thought leadership in the Circuit Switched technology domain, be responsible for managing leading the Mobile Softswitch migration Panning & Design teams of an operator's Circuit Switched Core network.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the technical deliverables of other network planning engineers, managing the work package output in terms of quality and delivery precision.
• Manage the project resources in the area of circuit switched network planning and ensure deliverables, resource plans and forecasts are in line with the customer and contract requirements.
• Manage changes against the contractual requirements according to the agreed process
• Assist in interviewing resources to ensure the correct resources are assigned to the programme.

In addition, the Functional Lead should have good understanding and knowledge of:

• Managing Mobile Network Planning and Design teams within an operator environment
• End to End mobile telecoms knowledge including 2G and 3G
• Fundamental CS Core Network Plans
• High-level understanding of network hardware builds, design concepts and issues
