Our Client is a Market Leading Mobile Telecommunications company at present they have a number of opportunities for Access Transmissions Project Engineers across the UK.
Candidates must have worked in a live 3G/UTMS network environment previously. We are able to provide sponsorship to candidates tow work in the UK but only on a permanent employment basis.

The purpose of the role is to:
- Development of Access Network Transmission Strategy to facilitate Network Opex Reduction
- Planning of Access Transmission Dark Fibre / SDH Microwave Radio Network
- Delivery of overall Milestone Project Plan
- Support the Regional Network Planning Teams in delivering key elements of the project
Duties include but not restricted to:
- Planning activities for extension of fibre routes directly to Transmission High Sites
- Planning activities for SDH microwave backhaul onto the dark fibre network
- Selection & evaluation of existing sites in close proximity to fibre routes for upgrades
- Develop strategy for upgrade of sites
- Develop standard design for site, cabin type, tower requirements.
- Formulate strategy for upgrade of Transmission High Sites to accommodate dark fibre connection. Planning of site layout, equipment schedule & upgrade methodology. Detailed planning of upgrade I&C activities on an individual site basis.
- Co-ordination of site surveys, planning of new equipment cabins, towers, SDH MW planning
- Cost modelling / business plan justification
- Overall Project Planning / delivery and update of Milestone Project Plan
- Scheduling & management of suppliers for key deliverables
- On site supervision of suppliers activities for transmission.
