The main requirements for these positions will be excellent experience in data transcription for MSC/MSC-S, MGW, HLR. Previous Ericsson experience is essential for this role and you must be available to start on this project by next month. The position is to handle the NSS tasks and assign to the relevant engineers, the aim is to utilise the best practises, the relevant reporting & procedure and to acquire the best knowledge and skills as possible to handle O&M, dimensioning and integration tasks.

The Candidate must be able to bring support on NSS/MSS aspects; the support concerns the troubleshooting, the O&M and integration on the MSC-S/MGW and HLR nodes - you will work closely with the O&M and the integration NSS/MSS engineers, and must provide support and assistance to them if requested in order to achieve the objective, and by that act as NSS/MSS team leader - you will also have Deep Knowledge of Ericsson MSS/NSS Axe nodes and commands.

As a matter of urgency, auditing of the MSC-S/MGW at all levels will need attention, and as a daily task, trouble shoot systems/operations to improve efficiency/best practices.

Troubleshooting, integration, reporting, recommending are also key, in addition to the appropriate technical skills, you will be a good leader, be a persuasive and effective communicator, and be confident in your convictions for the road map forward.

You will ideally have 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role.

The position of IN / VAS Engineer - Ericson CS 3.0 involving in development and introduction of new mobile services.

Requirements:

• Technical Design of Prepaid IN CS3.0 Services Roadmap
• Maintenance of the existing Prepaid IN Services to assure proper dimensioning and Quality of Service.
• Ericsson Prepaid IN services Based on CS3.0
• Develop technical proposals for the Prepaid IN CS3.0
• Perform feasibility studies from a GSM point of view for the Prepaid IN Services CS3.0.
• Develop an RFQ for any new service and evaluate offers based on technology, capacity and cost.
• Set up Project Plans and follow up these during implementation of Prepaid IN Services CS3.0.
• Implementation of any Prepaid IN Services and interact with Marketing, IT, O&M, NOC, etc.
• Handover documentation for any new service to be handed over to VAS O&M.
• Ensure Prepaid IN Services are introduced within the allocated budget and according to contracts.
• Optimization and modification of existing and new services based on CS 3.0
• Quality of Service is maintained after the service is launched.
• Vendor management and interaction.

Job Description : Transmission Surveillance Engineer

2 Transmission Surveillance Engineer - Ericsson
Responsibilities :

• Hours monitoring of alarms generated by Ericsson MW nodes such (TN’s, HC’s, OMS, MRD’s, MSR, AXX).
• Daily and monthly Report of active alarms & follow-up.
• 1st & 2nd line trouble shooting of generated alarms and problems.
• Reporting of all transmission problems and network performance.
• Faults escalation, follow-up with field maintenance and ELS when needed.
• Coordination of fault origins with other Vendors.
• Management Escalation and Updates of Major Network Problems through Front Office Surveillance.
• Monitoring and maintaining the DCN connectivity for Transmission Network.
• Creation and configuration of network elements on SOM and ensure that all NE’s should be visible through SOM.
• Provide support to Field Operations and Project team as required.
• Provide the necessary operation maintenance support such as software upgrading of operation software on Microwave equipments.
• Keep and provide the back-up configuration for all live microwave nodes.
• Control and supervise the maintenance downtime MDT & TCN for all activities on live elements related to transmission and keep copy of configuration back-up before and after each activity.
• Control the access for all transmission network nodes.

Qualification (formal education needed) :

• Have a diploma within Telecommunication, Information Technology and Electronics or similar.
• Have a minimum 2 years of experience in as Field Operations Technician and on FO transmission surveillance in a mobile network environment.
• Acceptable written and spoken English.
• Good team player with self motivation and experience of working within a multi-cultural environment is essential.
