Transmission Design Engineer, UK

You will be responsible for the design and development of Access Transmission Strategy, supporting the Regional Network Planning Teams in delivering key elements of the project.

It is essential that you have a background working on an active 3G network.

This role will include:

• Design activities for the extension of fibre routes to Transmission High Sites
• Design activities for SDH microwave backhaul onto the dark fibre network
• Development of strategy for upgrade of Node B sites to POPs for SDH MW collection
• Co-ordination of site surveys

Your skills must include:

• A strong background in design of next generation microwave transmission technologies
• Excellent knowledge of 3G & Microwave transmission network planning
• Ethernet Transport, Nokia RAN, PWE3, Tellabs 8600, MPLS
• Successful delivery of technical projects
• Strong communication skills
