Our client, a national wireless provider, will soon be in need of experienced Ericsson BSS Switch Technicians.

The technicians will be responsible for day to day O&M activities at a UMTS switching facility that comprises of Ericsson MSCs/ BSCs, Alcatel Media Gateway, Nortel HLR and various transport equipment. Knowledge of
Ericsson's UMTS is a necessary requirement for these positions.
Candidates are required to have hands on experience with Ericsson BSS equipment. They should also be able to handle transport path builds and troubleshooting at ATM, Fiber and copper levels.

Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:

• At least 5 years O&M experience in GSM switching environment.
• Hands on experience with Transport and should be well versed with transport standards.
• Hands on experience on Ericsson BSS and NSS switches.
• Be able to make BSC and MSC DT and configuration changes confidently.

Ericsson BSS-RF Engineer, Ghana

Selek Telecom is looking for on behalf of one of our clients, an experienced BSC - RF Engineer for the testing and feature demonstration of BTS Power Savings feature, for our customer in Ghana.
The resource will be expected to:

• Prepare for the activation of BTS Power saving feature in the BSC and related RBS on trail. Checking of all parameter settings in the BSC and RBS nodes of our customer in Ghana.
• Identify measure and check all KPI's concerned with HR usage rate, speech quality index, SDCCH congestion, FR/HR congestion etc - before activation of the feature and after activation of the feature. Prepare reports on these KPI's
• Check the TRX managed object settings and channel groups before and after activation of the feature.
• Activation of the BTS power saving feature on the selected BSC and selected RBS sites with minimum disturbance.
• Installation of the clamp-on power datalogger kit at the selected RBS site and analysis of the data collected before and after feature activation.
• Monitor and report on the performance of the BTS Power saving feature
• Prepare a comprehensive final report on the impact of the BTS power saving feature impact on power consumption, & KPI's before activation and KPI's after activation and summary with recommendations
