Ericsson BSS-RF Engineer, Ghana
The resource will be expected to:
- Prepare for the activation of BTS Power saving feature in the BSC and related RBS on trail. Checking of all parameter settings in the BSC and RBS nodes of our customer in Ghana.
- Identify measure and check all KPI's concerned with HR usage rate, speech quality index, SDCCH congestion, FR/HR congestion etc - before activation of the feature and after activation of the feature. Prepare reports on these KPI's
- Check the TRX managed object settings and channel groups before and after activation of the feature.
- Activation of the BTS power saving feature on the selected BSC and selected RBS sites with minimum disturbance.
- Installation of the clamp-on power datalogger kit at the selected RBS site and analysis of the data collected before and after feature activation.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the BTS Power saving feature
- Prepare a comprehensive final report on the impact of the BTS power saving feature impact on power consumption, & KPI's before activation and KPI's after activation and summary with recommendations

2G/2.5G Radio Network Performance Optimization Engineer
Requirements:
- Plan and Perform various test cases to trace and monitor air interface to asses the required grade of service, coverage
- Plan and fine tune the orientation and down tilt of the antenna
- Capacity/Hotspot Planning: Reduce coverage overlap, site closest to hotspot to minimize TX power
- Fine tuning of Nokia RAN Parameters and counters
- Capacity Analysis and Solution Recommendation
- EDAP, PCU & RNC planning and Optimization using Nokia Counters and parameters
- EDAP, PCU & RNC planning and Optimization using Nokia Counters and parameters to reach optimal KPI’s
- Management reporting i.e. Dashboard Reports, Routine daily/weekly and monthly Reports
- Adjacency and Frequency Plan optimization
- Abis signaling optimization and Performance assurance
- Audit and consistency check on Parameters, configuration and performance KPI’s
- Fine tuning of specific RF parameters
- Assist Field drive test teams in validating the site configuration & performance in the field during the site and cluster drive processes.
- Drive test data post processing and analysis to isolate and remove any abnormalities in the network behaviour and verification that Network behaves in line with planned parameters
- You will have at least 4 years of experience and will have experience on multiple Nokia projects. 3G knowledge is a plus.

HSDPA RF Engineers
HSDPA RF Engineers required for long term work in Europe. 3-4 RF Planning Experts, with assignment start from February 1, 2009.
Main responsibilities :
Providing planning of FDD site and GSM site if necessary. Develop necessary guidelines for planners which doesn't exist yet and provide training. Provide analysis and optimization of the planned networks Advise planners.
Required competence/experience for Planning Experts:
- Experience with FDD/HSxPA and GSM planning and optimization
- Fluent English
- Human Skill Requirements: well organized, structured and able to transfer the knowledge to RF planners
- Planning software: TMCZ RF planning software (PegaPlan) and plan the HSxPA network in line with TMO planning principles which will be provided

3G RF Engineer
Knowledge of WCDMA / 3G is expected and engineers must have experience with design, planning and optimisation experience and will have knowledge with various tools including Actix, Agilent, X-Cal, X-Cap and TEMS.
Your planning design experience should include: site coordinates, antenna type, antenna height, antenna tilt, antenna azimuth, CPICH power, cable loss, propagation model parameters and site survey visits etc.
Your optimisation experience should include: drive test measurements, detecting installation problems, physical RF parameters mis-configuration, and recommending changes to fixing those problems; Execute Field DT, post-processing and analysis for optimization; Analysing site performance through drive test measurements and detecting installation problems.
These opportunities are open to nationals or engineers who can obtain a working VISA within a period no greater than 2 months.

RF Service Support Engineers
The UK's leading company in secure radio communications technology is getting busy resulting in the need for RF Service Support Engineers.
Job Description Fields :
Commissioning and 'setting to work' of secure Radio Communication systems, based on RF technology. Senior support, maintenance and commissioning engineering activities of military radio equipment
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at the factory premises.
Set To Work (STW) and commission equipment and systems, in UK and overseas, in order to achieve customer acceptance.
To carry out engineering investigations on “in service” equipment.
Working in a department of 35 engineers.
Projects would typically be of 1-2 month duration working in a small team on contracts up to £200k in value.
Key Tasks for RF Service Support Engineer:
- To plan and prepare all relevant activities prior to “on site” STW.
- To carry out STW of equipment and systems at the customers premises to achieve customer acceptance of the equipment or system.
- To fault find and repair equipment and systems in the field.
- To conduct “On the job” training courses for operators and equipment maintenance to module level.
- To provide technical assistance to production to resolve problems in a timely and cost effective manner.
- To carry out engineering investigations on “in service” equipment.
- Technical & Professional skills:
- Experience in the field of H/VHF Radio Communication and Radio products.
- Experience in working with UK and overseas Defence/Governmental organisations.
- Knowledge of RF techniques
- A minimum of ONC/OND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline as a minimum
