The Solution Architect - Circuit Switch will be responsible for architecture, high level and detail designs, solution designs, platform designs of 3rd generation Mobile circuit switched networks (MSS/HLR/SSRI/ MGW).

Our client is looking is looking for Solution Architects with the following:

• Good working knowledge of 3rd generation Mobile networks (Nokia)
• Good working knowledge of some of the following: GSM/UMTS, MTP, SCCP, UK ISUP, Core Camel and INAP,M3UA, Sigtran, BICC
• Proven working knowledge and understanding in design and delivery of circuit switched functionality (Features and services)
• Proven working knowledge and understanding in designing and delivering UMTS networks
• Background in Nokia equipment- hardware and software: MSS,HSS,SRRI and MGW
• Use of Camel and INAP
• Knowledge of Nokia MML

Switch Operations Group Engineer, England

A leading global provider of mobile, telecommunication and data communication systems are now looking to recruit contract Engineers to act as Switch Operations Group Engineers within a major network consolidation project likely to continue for the next 12 months. Together with solid experience in a mobile Switch environment you will also be able to control complex technical situations in a calm and professional manner.

To be considered for the role you will also have:

• Understanding of 2G Nortel and Ericsson Switching Platforms and command structure.
• Understanding of 3G Nokia Switching Platforms and command structure.
• Proficient databuilder
• Knowledge of Nokia Node Bs and RNCs and Flexi BTS
• Knowledge of Nokia NetAct

This is a technically challenging position that will involve the following responsibilities:

• Software/Hardware Upgrades/Expansions on Node B's and RNCs via Netact and Local connection
• Responsible for the operation and ongoing maintenance of regional and national NODE B's
• Implementing SAC'S LACS, Routing Zones and assigning NODE B's to Media Gateways. Ration, maintenance of T-Mobile's Nokia 3g RAN incorporating RNC's Node B's and AXC's
• Upgrading AXC by loading latest XML Files
• Ensuring all network elements are integrated to NETACT
• Upgrading the Node B and Flexi BTS Remote Antenna Units
• Making adjustments to 3G RAN using NETACT Network editor
• Using SAP to implement change requests
• Parameter changes on Node B's RNC's and AXC's
• Datafill of Network Elements Liaising with project engineers for technical and staffing requirements
• Loop testing checking transmission with Field engineers

I am currently looking to recruit a ‘Switch Operations Group Technician' and have a selection on positions available, all offering 3 month rolling contracts on a long-term based project

We need people who have a strong career background with RAN, RNC NetAct and 3G Nokia Switching Platforms.

You will be carrying out basic repetitive SOG build activities under supervision to allow successful growth on the Network. Liaising closely with Circuit Provisioning, Databuild, and ATM Engineers, Projects Department , Field Engineers and Contractors to ensure completion of quality work within SLA's.
