Senior Technical Documentation Engineer, Germany


A major Telecoms Vendor has an urgent requirement for a Senior Documentation Engineer to work within Technical Service and Delivery department. This Documentation role provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, German speaking document expert to work on a major operator based delivery Project.

You will be expected to be the main point of contact for te client and be accountable to the documentation aspect of the project. Work will be based in the Bonn office.

The role and responsibilities
  • To anticipate, identify and analyse the customer’s information needs from.
  • To develop the delivery project documentation in German
  • To help establish document standards through standard analysis, third party analysis and requirement analysis to help create a high quality and on time project delivery.
  • To liaise with cross functional areas such as marketing, support departments and R&D to help work out systematic solutions that ensure high-quality and timely release of all documentation.
Candidates must demonstrate
  • Experience in planning and implementing complex technical documentation suites.
  • A high level of knowledge of documentation architecture and documentation problem / requirement analysis.
  • A high level of experience in end-to-end documentation delivery and management during a project, including engineering documents including network planning documents, acceptance manuals and test cases.
  • Fluency in German
  • Fluency in English

OMC Expert and Wireless Technical Support, Germany

On behalf of our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for a number of OMC Experts and Wireless Technical Support in Germany, starting ASAP for Perm and Contract roles available.

Must have a previous working knowledge of the following:
  • OMC experience
  • Skill in RNC/BSC/BTS/NodeB hardware system, software commissioning, data configuration and integration, basic trouble shooting
  • 2G/3G wireless technology understanding
  • Wireless Technical Support
  • Level 1 and 2 Technical Support Service Experience
  • Big project experience or radio network swap experience would be preferred.
  • Good communication skill, fluent spoken / written English and good knowledge of German

Network Engineer, Germany

An International telecom company seeks to hire qualified professional as a Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and supervision of the network and comms link performance, collection of statistics, detecting and investigating network anomalies and the testing and implementation and validation of corrective measures;
  • Liaising with the internal and external providers of network services for anomaly resolution, scheduling of maintenance windows, and planning and co-ordinating changes to the service;
  • Liaising with the system administrators of servers for investigation and resolution network related anomalies, and planning and co-ordinating changes;
  • Installation and configuration of communications equipment (routers, switches, firewalls and multiplexers), tuning of operating parameters to optimize performance;
  • Specification, implementation and support of quality and performance enhancing and optimization in support of multiple data flows across LAN and WAN links;
  • Analyzing problems with satellite links;
  • Analyzing SDH problems;
  • Ensuring that in case of network equipment failures (including network monitoring platforms) the operational configuration can be restored, including the definition, maintenance, performance of associated recovery procedures;
  • Monitoring of security configuration settings and implementation of security measures at the network level;
  • Analysis, planning and performance of network evolutions, taking care of compatibility issues between subsystems;
  • Support to S/W development and maintenance in relation to the utilization of system resources;
  • Generation or update of technical documentation;
  • Implementation and maintenance of excel-based repositories for allocated IP addresses, and switch port allocations;
  • Provision of stand-by/on-call support;

Required Qualifications, Experience:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years experience in the administration and troubleshooting of networks in distributed systems.

Knowledge and hands-on experience with the following is mandatory:
  • Experience of 24/7 operations;
  • Cisco network equipment and architectures, Cisco IOS;
  • Cisco security equipment and architectures, PIX, ASA, FWSM, IPSEC VPN, TACACS+;
  • Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, RIP;
  • High availability network architecture and protocols e.g HSRP, VSS;
  • Network management : JFF, Nagios, HP OpenView, Tivoli, Cisco Works, RMON, SNMP;
  • Satellite communications : DVB, VSAT, Point to Point links;
  • IP multicast and PGM;
  • QOS and traffic shaping;
  • WAN interfacing : using SDH, E1/E3, ISDN, leased lines;
  • Timing systems : GPS receivers, NTP servers;
  • Protocol analysers, Bit error rate testers;
Tools : Snort, tcpdump, iptables, cricket, iperf.

The consultant shall be familiar with the following HW/SW systems, particularly in the areas of network interface configuration, TCP stack configuration and high availability interface configuration:
  1. Solaris, Linux, AIX , Microsoft Windows operating systems;
  2. Configuration and monitoring of network protocols and applications, e.g. DNS, SNMP, FTP, NTP.
  3. For supporting documentation tasks, experience is required with: Microsoft Office Suite, including MS-Visio.

IOT Engineer wanted urgently to work for a global, blue chip company and market leader within the telecommunications industry, based in Bonn and Dusseldorf, Germany. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Test Engineer whom is highly competent in the testing and debugging of GSM communication systems to work on the technical approval of products with wireless carriers and get involved in field testing of new releases and products, investigation and debug of issues and verification of fixes.
