Required urgently to work for a leading telecommunications company based in Hertfordshire. 6 month contract (possibility of extension thereafter).

Key requirements of the role will be to implement new performance alarms to adhere to customer SLA's, daily and weekly data integrity auditing and reporting to the project owners in Deployment to ensure the consolidated network can be continuously maintained by operations, to collect and implement new requirements from deployment, operations to detect and diagnose all RAN performance and customer experiences related faults near real time and to manage a technical team to deliver project work requests from customers.

We are looking for candidates who have practical working experience in web development, database and software development. Must be competent in GSM (2G), GPRS and UMTS (3G). Must also have working experiences of SQL, ASP and C++.

Previous experience MUST have included writing UNIX scripts and working within a RAN environment therefore telecoms experience is essential.

Responsibilities & Main Tasks:

The main responsibility as Radio Consultant is to complete services solution to meet customers business needs. It includes all Radio aspects from beginning to end, Radio Planning to Optimization in business models. Radio Consultants are also responsible for providing Business development and Sales Support within area of expertise.

The Radio Network Consultant work tasks are:

• Designing radio network for WCDMA and GSM.
• Consultancy on radio network optimization and performance improvement.

Note: All activities need to be performed with close interaction with the customer.

Requirements:

• GSM/WCDMA Radio Knowledge (Radio Propagation, Radio Characteristics, Cellular NW principle, Interference, Traffic estimation)
• Performance Analysis (Air Interface Protocol analysis, Voice, CS, PS analysis)
• Minimum a Bachelor of Science certificate in Computer Area/Telecommunications or equivalent.
• Excellent English skill both oral and writing ability is mandatory.
• Good adaptability and quick learner of new technical knowledge is essential.
• Strong IT/IP knowledge is much more preferred.
• Good communication skills with ability to work in multi-ethnical environment.
• Broad knowledge within the field of radio communication systems
• Willing to travel for short or long assignments

My client is searching for level 4 NOKIA 2G/2.5G Radio Network Performance Optimization Engineer

Requirements:

• Plan and Perform various test cases to trace and monitor air interface to asses the required grade of service, coverage
• Plan and fine tune the orientation and down tilt of the antenna
• Capacity/Hotspot Planning: Reduce coverage overlap, site closest to hotspot to minimize TX power
• Fine tuning of Nokia RAN Parameters and counters
• Capacity Analysis and Solution Recommendation
• EDAP, PCU & RNC planning and Optimization using Nokia Counters and parameters
• EDAP, PCU & RNC planning and Optimization using Nokia Counters and parameters to reach optimal KPI’s
• Management reporting i.e. Dashboard Reports, Routine daily/weekly and monthly Reports
• Adjacency and Frequency Plan optimization
• Abis signaling optimization and Performance assurance
• Audit and consistency check on Parameters, configuration and performance KPI’s
• Fine tuning of specific RF parameters
• Assist Field drive test teams in validating the site configuration & performance in the field during the site and cluster drive processes.
• Drive test data post processing and analysis to isolate and remove any abnormalities in the network behaviour and verification that Network behaves in line with planned parameters
• You will have at least 4 years of experience and will have experience on multiple Nokia projects. 3G knowledge is a plus.

• MPC DNS server

The role will also involve:

• Identifying any differences between live configuration and documentation
• Determine reasons for any differences
• Recommend changes to correct these differences
• Ensure that alignment of the databuild documentation and live configuration is achieved

The successful PS Network Performance Auditor will have:

• A strong background in mobile telecoms
• Excellent working knowledge of the live network
• A background in databuild / datafill
• A working knowledge of PS would be advantageous
