• To Set up a reliable detection of the various dysfunctions: traffic, system, radio
• To Insure the analysis of the recurring problems
• Investigation system and of optimization of the paramètrage and the network configurations and radio configuration
• Qualify the various operations realized on the network
• Support for the analysis quality of first level
• To Detect and qualify the dysfunctions
• Provide/prepare reports of Radio Network performance
• Performance Statistics.

We have Urgent opening for Siemens 2G Optimization Engineer on contract with NSN in Saudi.

Main Skills required:

Responsible for making coverage plans and coverage prediction for all sites with different propagation models, Monitoring network KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) & Carry out all the optimization activities to maintain the network KPI targets, create Macros which take the raw data and changing it to readable data, Investigate parameter settings & test parameter recommendations, to meet the network KPIs & solve the existing coverage problems.
Analyze and interpret the OSS data, and navigate the network through the OSS (Radio Commander: for Siemens) to get the live information for cells (Parameters, Alarms, Configuration, etc). Handle all new activities & events in the network and solve the difficult issues (survey, expected traffic calculations, cells expansions which are needed, hourly follow up, etc). Solve customers' coverage complaints, Integration of new sites and drive test for all the 2G services, Daily consistency database check, Carry out Software and Hardware Modifications (Azimuth, Tilt, Parameters tuning, etc.), Implementing all newest Features to meet the network needs. Issue radio requirement studies for the traffic and coverage demand.

Optimization Specialist Consultant - South Africa

SAMO Consulting is looking for 2G/3G optimisation specialist consultants to perform Ericsson RAN optimisation. The consultants should be familiar with both 2G and 3G areas that affect coverage and capacity. The consultant must be able to tackle complex 2G/3G voice and data performance issues with use of protocol analyser, network counters, parameters and drive test tool. Other activities will include:

• Coordinate RF rollout and tuning/optimisation activities
• Be the customer single point of contact for RF technical-related issues
• Regular progress reporting to senior management
• Ensure KPI improvement

The following attributes are required:

• Extensive (at least 4 years) RF planning and optimisation experience for 2G and 3G, preferably with supervisory experience of other engineers
• Clear understanding of processes involved in RF implementation
• Good inter-personal and organisational skills to effectively share knowledge with other engineers
• Ability to perform well under pressure
  

Primary vendor is Ericsson and Huawei. The consultant will be permanently working at client’s premises reporting weekly to SAMO Consulting's project manager.
