2G/3G NOC Engineer TETRA, Norway

Location: Norway - Nordics
Rate : N/A (contract/temp.)
NOC Engineer with strong NOC, 2G / 3G, TETRA and Control Room experience required for a contract in Scandinavia. My Norway based client is seeking to expand its Control Room team and add one additional NOC Engineer.

Responsibilities will include:
- Interfacing towards sub-contractor for operational issues
- Assisting delivery project in system integration and site acceptance
- Reviewing change requests involving control rooms and interfaces

You must have extensive NOC experience and speak fluent Norwegian or Swedish to be considered for this position. The client is offering a 9 month contract for the right engineer.

NOC Shift Engineer, Czech Republic

My client is accepted to be Europe's fastest growing telecoms provider, They own and operate Europe's most advanced and densely connected voice and data network. It delivers intelligent, customer-controlled network services to a diverse range of businesses including mobile operators, service providers and enterprise customers. They are currently looking for a NOC Shift Engineer.

The purpose of this role is to conduct network surveillance, and carry out incident management for both customer and network, accurately recording all events through the Trouble Ticket system. Ownership of these incidents is priority, and to work with the various operational teams to ensure the delivery of a permanent resolution.

You will be required to work in the Network Operations Centre on a 24x7 shift Rotation basis. Carry out first level fault diagnostics across the Transmission & Dark Fibre network. Conduct preventative maintenance and analysis of circuit performance. Perform escalation for Network & Customer tickets, both technical and managerial. Carry out vendor and supplier contact and escalation for fault resolution.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be a good team player. You will be able to work under pressure and on own initiative.

Experience and knowledge required:
  • Experienced user of Alcatel RM/SH
  • Experience with Infinera or Ciena advantageous but not essential
  • In depth knowledge of SDH and Optical transmission technologies required.
  • Knowledge of DWDM technologies preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in a large established Operations environment for a Telco or large ISP essential.
  • General technical understanding of Core Network technologies including Fibre Optic and Inside Plant architecture.

NOC Shift Engineer (24x7), England

My client urgently requires an NOC Shift Engineer with a minimum of 2/3 years experience, in a Network Management Center (NMC) environment. You will have strong experience of supporting Nortel TN and SDH Transmission. Utilizing the experience you have gained, your key responsibilities will include carrying out first line fault management, proactive routines and maintenance tasks. You will be using management tools to monitor the Transmission systems, in order to detect failures and alarms. You will then localize the cause of the failure or alarm and escalate to Field Support Staff and other members of the team to ensure timely and effective resolution. You will then ensure that all fault information, including corrective actions taken is recorded in the Remedy Trouble Ticketing system.

RAN NOC Engineer, UK

We are looking for a NOC based RAN Engineer to provide 1st line support for one of the leading service providers in 3G networks. This is a shift based role, including nights and days.

You will have a background in 2G/3G RAN Networks, with experience of fault-finding and offering 1st line support within a NOC environment or lengthy field experience with some experience dealing with issues within the NOC (Network Operations Centre).

Ideally:
  • You will have used one or more of the following vendor's 3G RAN equipment: Nokia, Siemens/NEC or Ericsson.
  • You will have working knowledge of 2G/3G Core networks, services and applications.
  • Unix scripting

Motorola Network Engineer in Ohio, USA

JOB Description:

  • NOC Network Analyst I/II.
  • Primary responsibilities include responding to NOC Element Manager alerts in a timely manner and initiate corrective actions to restore network service.
  • Coordinate fault resolution with operating company field personnel, NOC, and vendor support teams.
  • Make recommendations and take actions to prevent network interruptions and / or service degradation.
  • Provide Tier-2 technical support for all assigned Motorola, Lucent, Nortel or Ericsson wireless digital voice and data network elements (Base stations, switching platforms and other network elements or products, to include 1XRTT/EVDO, MR, INA, CALEA/SRP, Voice Mail, T2T Dispatch Gateway).
  • Analyze switch/network element messages, perform equipment diagnostics, follow vendor-troubleshooting procedures, and take corrective action to minimize service interruptions.
  • Provide technical and analytical support in determining the root cause of network problems and implement action plans.
  • Communicate service and technical information to NOC support personnel, vendors, and other support centers.
  • Utilize NOC supporting systems, processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate trouble ticket resolution and activity reports.
